Ade, god of the underworld is commonly associated with the idea of indomitability and severity. Few, however, know that Ade nevertheless receives worship as a god who, dwelling beneath the earth, can benefit the living by bestowing on humans the precious elements that the earth conceals, and alabaster is one of them.
